Man Injured in Orange, TX, Pickup Accident at 16th Street

Orange, TX -- January 17, 2017, one person was injured as the result of an accident in which his pickup crashed into a sign off of 16th Street.

Orange Police and emergency crews were called out to the accident scene at about 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of 16th Street and Sholars Avenue.

According to their preliminary reports, a pickup was traveling southbound on 16th Street with one occupant. The vehicle somehow lost control, veering off the road and hopping a curb. The pickup then crashed head-on into the sign for a nearby Sherwin Williams location.

Emergency services came to the scene and found the driver unresponsive. As they were getting him to an ambulance, he regained consciousness. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

At this time, authorities have not suggested what factors may be involved in the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
