Two Killed in Hot Springs, AR, Apartment Fire Accident on Ward

Hot Springs, AR -- January 18, 2017, two people were found dead as the result of an accident where their apartment near Ward Street caught fire.

Rescue teams from the Hot Springs Fire Department rushed out to the scene at around 8:00 p.m. The complex is located near 115 Ward Street, just south of Business Highway 70.

According to preliminary reports, fire teams came to the apartment and forced their way in. Through the blaze, they located two individuals that were unresponsive and extricated them from the residence.

Authorities say that resuscitation efforts were made, but the two victims' injuries proved fatal. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The official cause of death has not been reported at this time.

Currently, authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire. No factors have been suggested as of yet. No further details are available.
