Julian Lynch Injured in Wilkes-Barre, PA, 18-wheeler Accident
Wilkes-Barre, PA -- January 16, 2017, Julian Lynch sustained injuries resulting from an accident in which the 18-wheeler he was driving overturned.
The accident took place on an entrance ramp to the North Cross Valley Expressway at around 2:15 p.m. Lynch was driving an 18-wheeler carrying a Monster Energy drinks shipment from the Lion Brewery located on Laird Street.
Reports indicate that Lynch was attempting to enter traffic lanes of the expressway via the on-ramp. For reasons that are unclear, the truck lost control and went off the side of the roadway. This caused the tractor-trailer to flip over down a steep embankment.
As a result of the crash, Lynch sustained unspecified injuries, for which he was taken to the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
At this time, police have not released any additional details on the crash.
