Albert Daron Injured in Tyler, TX, Hit-and-run Accident

Tyler, TX -- January 16, 2017, Albert Daron was injured as the result of an accident in which he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road.

Tyler Police officials released a statement concerning the accident. They say that it occurred near the intersection of West Gentry Parkway and Jordan Street at around 7:30 p.m.

Their preliminary reports indicate that 82-year-old Daron was attempting to cross the intersection on foot. As he did so, an unidentified vehicle drove through the roadway and hit him. The vehicle left Daron on the road and fled the scene.

Emergency services were called out to the scene, and they transported Daron to East Texas Medical Center. Reports say his injuries are critical.

At this time, authorities have not apprehended or identified any suspects. Their investigations are ongoing.
