Jeffrey J. Jones Jr. Killed in Overhead Crane Accident in Wausau, WI

Wausau, WI -- 38-year-old Jeffrey J. Jones Jr. was killed in an industrial incident in Wausau, Wisconsin Sunday, January 15, 2017.

It appears the victim, an employee of Veritas Steel, was attempting to unhook a steel girder when the incident happened. The report claims that, for reasons unknown, the girder came free, hitting Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones was killed at the scene of the incident.

The cause of the incident had yet to be determined and OSHA claimed it may take at least six months to make a determination.

At the time of the report, no fines had been levied in with regards to the incident.
