Man Killed in Accident with Utility Truck at S. Co. Line Road & US 223 in Riga Twp., MI

Riga Twp., MI -- A collision between a passenger car and a utility truck left an unidentified man dead in the area of Riga Twp., MI Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

Sources say the car and the utility truck collided at the intersection of S. County Line Road and US 223 about 7 a.m.

It is unclear what took place, but the report claims the struck the passenger car on its side. The truck was reportedly hauling a small crane. The force of the collision pushed the car off the roadway. The report claims the deceased victim was the sole occupant of the vehicle. It is unknown at this time if the driver of the truck sustained any injuries in the incident.

The investigation is currently underway.

Due to the immediacy of the collision, the report left no further details.
