Three Killed, Two Hurt in Truck Accident on U.S. 20 in Laporte County, IN

Laporte County, IN -- A four-vehicle incident involving three passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer claimed the lives of three people and left two in critical condition Tuesday, January 17, 2017.

The incident took place on U.S. 20 in the area of Fail Road about 1:50 p.m.

The identities of the victims had yet to be disclosed at the time of the report. The report claims two people, including the driver of the semi-truck, turned down medical treatment at the scene of the collision. The deadly incident left a portion of the area closed for several hours.

Due to the immediacy of the event, the report provided very little information.

Authorities are currently conducting an official investigation into the collision.
