Rick Matteson Killed, Two Hurt in Truck Accident in St. Louis, MO

St. Louis, MO -- St. Louis, MO Tuesday, January 17, 2017: A three-vehicle collision between two passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of Rick Matteson and left two people injured.

From the details provided by the early reports, it appears the incident occurred on Interstate 270 about 8:30 a.m.

Mr. Matteson, 58, was killed at the scene of the incident. The driver of passenger van occupied by the deceased victim was last listed in critical condition. Two people were left in serious condition in the incident. Though it's unclear which, one of the vehicles involved in the incident reportedly caught fire.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
