9 Injured in Denison, TX, Multi-Car Accident on Highway 75
Denison, TX -- January 14, 2017, at least nine people were injured due to an accident where multiple vehicles crashed on Highway 75.
Officials from the Denison Police Department reported that the incident occurred at about 11:00 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 75 and Loy Lake Road.
Preliminary accident reports indicate that a vehicle was driving along northbound Highway 75 when it suddenly crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic. As a result, it crashed head-on with a southbound vehicle. This collision also caused two other vehicles to get into an accident. One of those vehicles ran off the side of the road and clipped a van on the access road.
Following the collision, at least nine people were reportedly injured. One of those people had critical injuries. All were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Authorities have not yet said what caused the initial vehicle to cross into oncoming traffic. Their investigations are ongoing.
