Demerrio Alistaire Tobler Killed, Travis Wade Coats and Another Hurt in Alleged DUI Accident in St. Petersburg, FL

St Petersburg, FL -- An incident involving an alleged drunk driver took the life of 32-year-old Demerrio Alistaire Tobler and left Travis Wade Coats and one person injured in St. Petersburg, FL.

Sources say was on his way from a day trip when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Travis Wade Coats. The collision occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate about 3:15 a.m., according to officials. Police say a third vehicle, driven by an unidentified resident of Lakeland, was involved in the collision.

Mr. Tobler was killed at the scene of the incident.

Mr. Coats and the woman in the third vehicle sustained minor injuries.

Officials are currently conducting the investigation and believe alcohol was a factor.

Mr. Coats, 24, faces multiple charges related to the incident.
