Charles Roberts Dies in Pueblo County, CO Single-Vehicle Accident

Pueblo County, CO -- January 13, 2017, Charles Roberts was killed following an accident in which his vehicle crashed off the highway.

According to reports released by the Colorado State Police, the accident occurred along I-25 in the early morning hours of Friday.

Their preliminary reports indicate that 59-year-old Roberts and his son, Jacob, were driving along the interstate in a delivery van. They were making shipments for the organization Rescued Pets Movement, for which Roberts worked.

As they traveled, the van somehow lost control and went off the side of the highway. The van crashed into a guardrail before continuing into an embankment.

Due to the collision, Roberts suffered fatal injuries. It's unclear whether or not Jacob was injured in the crash.

At this time, authorities are still investigating the factors involved in the accident. They have not released any additional details at this time.
