One Killed, Two Hurt in Truck Accident on Interstate 81 in Cumberland Co., PA

Cumberland County, PA -- A three-vehicle collision killed an unidentified man and left two people with unspecified injuries on Interstate 81 in Cumberland County, PA.

Officials say a dump truck headed south on I-81 when they believe it sustained a tire blow-out. The vehicle then careened out of control, ended up in a grass median and collided head-on with a semi-truck. A third vehicle, a pickup truck, was struck. The unidentified driver of the big rig was killed at the scene of the incident. Two others, the driver of the pickup and dump truck, respectively, were left with undisclosed injuries.

The identities of the victims involved in the collision had yet to be divulged.

Officials are still investigating the details of the incident.

The preliminary press release provided no further information at the time of its release.
