One Killed in Round Rock, TX, Single-Vehicle Accident on CR 112

Round Rock, TX -- January 16, 2017, a driver was killed as the result of an accident in which their car traveled off County Road 112 and crashed.

The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the fatal crash scene at about 7:00 p.m. They say it happened at the intersection of County Roads 112 and 117, north of Round Rock.

State Troopers say that the vehicle was traveling down CR 112 at around 4:45 p.m. at the time. As it approached the CR 117 intersection, it somehow lost control and veered off the roadway. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a nearby creek.

The driver of the car, the only occupant of the vehicle, was dead when emergency services arrived. At this time, the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.

No additional details have been released.
