Six Injured in Brown County, TX, Multi-Vehicle Accident on US 67

Brown County, TX -- January 13, 2017, at least six people were injured after a multi-vehicle accident where several cars crashed along US 67.

Brown County officials responded to the accident scene at around 9:00 p.m. where two separate crashed occurred. Both incidents occurred just outside of Bangs along US Highway 67.

Preliminary reports say the first two accidents happened at about the same time involving multiple vehicles. It's unclear exactly how either crashed occurred. A third crash also happened where a vehicle ran off the roadway to avoid the earlier accidents, causing the vehicle to overturn.

From the three separate crashes, at least six people were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not specified, and it's unclear from which vehicles the injured came.

Authorities did not mention any charges or citations resulting from the accidents, and they have not released any additional details.

Investigations are ongoing.
