Woman Injured in China Spring, TX, Car Accident on Ziegler Road

China Spring, TX -- January 13, 2017, one woman was injured following an accident in which two cars collided along Ziegler Road.

According to reports released by the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident between an SUV and a Monte Carlo took place at the intersection of Wortham Bend and Ziegler Road.

Initial reports indicate that a woman was driving a Chevy Monte Carl down Wortham Bend around 7:00 p.m. She attempted a left turn onto Ziegler, reportedly entering the path of a Hyundai SUV. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.

One of the passengers of the SUV was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the SUV was taken via private vehicle with minor injuries.

Authorities say they issued the driver of the Monte Carlo with a citation for failing to yield the right of way to the SUV.

No further information has been released.
