Megan Ruth Browning Killed in Madison County, AR, Car Accident

Madison County, AR -- January 15, 2017, Megan Ruth Browning was killed as the result of an accident in which a car struck her vehicle head-on.

State Troopers released a preliminary accident report. The report states that the crash took place just after 10:00 p.m. near the intersection of US 412 and Highway 127.

According to police investigations, 24-year-old Browning was traveling westbound on US 412 in a Lexus. As she did so, an eastbound Ford somehow crossed over the center traffic line into Browning's path. Browning could not avoid the oncoming vehicle in time, and they crashed head-on.

Due to the severity of the crash, Browning suffered fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was injured.

Authorities did not say if any charges or citations were issued following the crash. They say the accident remains under investigation.
