Man Injured in Suspected DUI Accident on Louetta Rd. in Houston, TX

Houston, TX -- A single-vehicle alleged DUI crash left an unidentified male victim with injuries in the area of Houston, TX on Louetta Rd. Saturday, January 14, 2017.

It appears a vehicle containing the injured victim was driving at excessive speeds westbound on Louetta when veered out of control. The vehicle reportedly crossed all lanes of traffic, went into a ditch and struck a power pole. The man, who required extrication from the vehicle after becoming trapped within, was taken to a local hospital. The report last listed him in critical condition. The victim's identity has not been divulged.

Officials are currently examining the details of the incident and believe alcohol was a factor.
