Ronald Smith, Michael Collins, Suzanne Collins Killed in Murfreesboro, TN, Accident

Murfreesboro, TN -- January 4, 2017, Ronald Smith, Michael Collins, and Suzanne Collins were killed, a child was injured, following a head-on car accident.

Tennessee State Police report that the fatal accident occurred in the night hours near the intersection of Highway 99 and Armstrong Valley Road.

According to preliminary investigations, 59-year-old Smith was driving eastbound in an SUV. In oncoming lanes, 44-year-old Michael Collins was driving a car westbound, 34-year-old Suzanne and a 6-year-old were his passengers.

At some point, the two vehicles somehow crossed paths with one another. This caused the two vehicles to crash head-on.

Due to the severity of the collision, Smith, Michael Collins, and Suzanne Collins all died at the scene of the crash. The child was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

Authorities say that the crash is still being investigated. No additional details are currently available.
