Injuries Reported after Sheridan, NY, 18-wheeler Accident on Rt. 20

Sheridan, NY -- January 10, 2017, authorities reported injuries resulting from an accident in which two 18-wheelers collided on Route 20.

Chautauqua County emergency officials responded to the two-truck accident which occurred at around 8:30 a.m.

Their initial reports indicate that David Minekime was driving a semi-trailer down westbound Route 20. In the opposite lanes, Michael Moniot was also driving an 18-wheeler. At some point, the two vehicles crossed paths with one another, and the two semi-trailers collided head-on.

Following the accident, authorities say that non-critical injuries were reported. They did not specify which driver sustained injuries or if anyone was taken to a hospital. No charges or citations were reported either.

At this time, no further details have been reported.
