Scott J. Lane Killed, Jerry Roche Hurt in Accident in La Pine, OR

La Pine, OR -- A two-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a passenger car claimed the life of 56-year-old Scott J. Lane and left 83-year-old Jerry Roche injured Monday, January 9, 2017.

The incident took place about 1:20 p.m. on Highway 31 near the area of La Pine, OR.

Sources say the two vehicles collided when Mr. Roche pulled onto the highway and attempted a U-turn. Mr. Lane was reportedly killed at the scene of the incident. Mr. Roche was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Police officials had yet to determine the exact cause of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing and authorities hope to learn more about the deadly crash as it concludes.
