Woman Injured in Lubbock, TX, Two-car Accident on Loop 323

Tyler, TX -- January 12, 2017, at least one person was injured following an accident in which two cars collided on Loop 323.

Tyler Police and emergency rescue crews were called to the accident scene in the evening hours of Thursday. The collision occurred near the intersection of Loop 323 and Broadway Avenue.

According to preliminary reports, a Toyota Avalon and a Chevy pickup were both traveling eastbound on the loop. Somehow, the two vehicles crossed paths with one another, and a collision occurred.

Following the accident, emergency services came to the scene to render aid. At least one of the drivers was taken to a hospital for an unspecified head injury. The other person's condition was not specified either.

Authorities did not say what caused the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
