Austin, TX -- January 12, 2017, a worker sustained injuries following an accident in which he somehow fell into a trench at a work site off Scribe Drive.

Austin-Travis County emergency crews were called to the accident site in a residential area of north Austin.

Just before 11:00 a.m., a worker may or may not have experienced some sort of medical emergency, causing him to fall into a ditch on the work site. Emergency services were called to the scene, and rescue teams had to help pull the man out of the ditch.

Afterward, he was rushed over to Round Rock Medical Center. Reports say his injuries were serious, but it's unclear if they were related to the fall or the alleged medical emergency.
