Wilma Glass Killed in Alleged DUI Accident in Van Buren, AR

Van Buren, AR -- A vehicle vs. pedestrian incident in the area of Van Buren, AR claimed the life of 84-year-old Wilma Glass Thursday, January 12, 2017.

Officials say Mrs. Glass was crossing Alma Highway with the aid of a walker when she was reportedly struck. The exact cause of the incident is unclear, but police say they believe alcohol may have been a factor.

The driver of the car, 35-year-old Michael Kenask, has since been charged with multiple offenses related to the incident.

Authorities are currently examining the details of the incident and hope to determine the exact cause as it concludes.
