Lauren Garcia, Isaac Garcia Killed in Lockhart, TX, Accident

Lockhart, TX -- January 12, 2017, Isaac Garcia and Lauren Garcia were killed due to an accident in which their vehicle and a pickup crashed head-on.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported on the accident which occurred along FM 672 at around 8:30 p.m.

According to investigations, 18-year-old Lauren and 21-year-old Isaac were traveling eastbound on FM 672. In westbound lanes, a Chevy Silverado was traveling toward them. For reasons unclear, the Silverado crossed over the center line on a curve into oncoming lanes. As a result, the two vehicles crashed head-on.

Both Lauren and Isaac were killed in the crash. The driver of the pickup, Santiago Avila, and Fernando Adame, his passenger, were injured in the accident. They were both treated at St. David's South Austin Hospital.

Authorities did not report any charges or citations following the accident. Their investigations are underway.
