Kody Melton Injured in San Antonio, TX, Motorcycle Accident

San Antonio, TX -- January 12, 2017, Kody Melton was injured following an accident in which his motorcycle lost control and crashed.

San Antonio authorities were called to the scene at around 12:30 a.m. at the Loop 410 and I-10 interchange.

According to their preliminary investigations, Melton was driving down I-10 on a motorcycle and attempted to take the Loop 410 transfer ramp. As he did so, the motorcycle somehow lost control and went off the side of the roadway. It crashed into the guardrail, flipped over the side and fell several feet.

Melton had serious injuries, and EMS rushed him to University Hospital for treatment. Reports say he is in stable condition.

At this time it's not entirely clear what factors contributed to the accident. Melton was confirmed to be wearing a helmet.
