Harris County, TX, Deputy, Woman Hurt in Accident on Will Clayton

Harris County, TX -- January 12, 2017, a Harris County Deputy and a woman were injured as the result of an accident where their vehicles crashed head-on on Will Clayton.

Harris County Officials reported that the incident occurred near the intersection of Will Clayton Parkway and Wilson Road.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a Harris County Sheriff's Deputy was traveling westbound on Will Clayton in a police cruiser. For reasons that are unclear, the cruiser and two other vehicles traveling eastbound collided head-on.

Following the accident, the Deputy and a woman driving one of the vehicles were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment. Their injuries did not appear critical.

Authorities have not specified how the accident occurred. No charges or citations were reported.

Investigations are ongoing.
