Woman Injured in Lubbock, TX, Pedestrian Accident on 34th

Lubbock, TX -- January 11, 2017, a woman sustained injuries due to an accident in which she was struck by a vehicle in a parking lot off of 34th Street.

The Lubbock Police Department was called to the parking lot of a business located at the intersection of 34th Street and Boston Avenue. The incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m.

According to early investigations, a woman was walking through the parking lot. A driver was traveling through the parking lot when it attempted to back into a parking space. The driver did not notice the woman cross paths with the vehicle in time, and a collision occurred as a result.

The woman suffer serious injuries and was taken to University Medical center. Authorities said the injuries did not seem life-threatening.

Police did not say if any charges or citations resulted from the accident. No further information has been released.
