Officer Matt Imrie Injured in Marble Falls, TX, Accident

Marble Falls, TX -- January 10, 2017, Burnet Police Officer Matt Imrie was injured following an accident between two pickups.

Authorities report that the accident occurred at the intersection of Fairland Drive and US Highway 281 at about 5:30 p.m. Reports say Imrie was off-duty at the time.

Initial investigations indicate that Imrie attempted to turn left at the intersection onto US 281. For reasons unclear, his pickup crossed paths with another pickup on the highway. The two vehicles collided with each other.

Imrie suffered serious injuries in the collision. He was eventually transported to Seton Medical Center Williamson in Round Rock. Reports say he will undergo surgery. It's unclear if any additional injuries resulted from the accident.

Authorities did not specify what caused the accident. No charges or citations were reported. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
