Man Killed in Hallettsville, TX, Truck vs Cow Accident on Hwy 90

Hallettsville, TX -- January 3, 2017, a man was killed as the result of an accident in which his propane truck hit a cow on Alternate Highway 90.

The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated the fatal accident which occurred east of Hallettsville near the intersection of Alternate Highway 90 and FM 155.

According to reports, a man was driving a propane truck westbound on the highway at around 9:30 p.m. In front of him, a dark-colored cow had wandered onto the roadway. The man could not evade the cow in time, and the vehicle struck the animal. This caused the truck to lose control and veer off-road. The truck then flipped over in the roadside area.

The driver suffered fatal injuries from which he died at the scene. No other injuries occurred.

At this time, authorities have not released any additional information about the accident.
