Two Hurt in Interstate 64 Washington Park, IL Truck Accident

Washington Park, IL -- An incident involving a tractor-trailer left two people hurt--an adult woman and a child--on Interstate 64 in Washington Park, IL.

Sources say the Kia containing the victims was traveling on Interstate 64 about 9 a.m. when the incident occurred. It is thought the car fish-tailed, coming to rest under the tractor-trailer. The crash, which took place in the westbound lanes, left a portion of the interstate closed for several hours. The 24-year-old driver of the car and a juvenile passenger were injured in the incident. Their identities and conditions are unknown at this time.

The official investigation into the incident is currently underway and may reveal more details as it concludes.

The preliminary press release provided no further information at the time of its release.
