Four Killed, Three Hurt in Accident on Route 50 in Salem, WV

Salem, WV -- An incident involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer claimed the lives of four people and left foru injured on Route 50 in Salem, WV.

Sources say the pickup was headed west on Route 50 around 6 p.m. when the incident happened.

The investigation shows the pickup collided with the tractor-trailer, killing four occupants in the pickup. It is unclear in what capacity, but police say a passenger car was also involved. The driver of the semi, one passenger in the pickup, and the driver of the car were left with undisclosed injuries in the incident.

The identities of the deceased victims and the current conditions of the injured victims had yet to be divulged.

Authorities are currently conducting the investigation into the incident and hope to learn more as it unfolds.
