One Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident on Lake June Road in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX -- A single-vehicle crash near Lake June Road in Dallas, TX claimed the life of an unidentified man early Thursday, January 11, 2017.

Sources say the driver had been pulled over by police for a violation involving a missing headlight prior to the incident. It is alleged the vehicle left the scene, drover over a guard rail, and down a ledge. The vehicle reportedly caught fire, killing the driver. The vehicle was said to have sustained such significant damage that officials struggled to determine how many occupants were within.

The exact cause of the crash had yet to be determined at the time of the report.

Officials are currently examining the details of the crash.
