2 Injured in Granby, MA, Peter Pan Bus Accident on Amherst

Granby, MA -- January 9, 2017, two people were injured following an accident where a Peter Pan bus crashed into a house on Amherst Road.

Granby Police and emergency personnel were called to 664 Amherst Road at about 11:00 a.m. where the accident occurred.

According to preliminary police reports, a Peter Pan transport bus was driving down Amherst when it somehow lost control. As a result, it crashed into an oil truck that was making a delivery. This collision caused the bus to run off the roadway. Before the driver could stop, the bus crashed into a nearby home.

Due to the crash, the driver of the bus and one of its passengers sustained injuries. Emergency services took both people to a nearby hospital in stable condition. The other four passengers were not injured. No injuries from the occupants of the home were reported.

Authorities have not released any further information about the accident.
