Teenager Hurt in Indianapolis, IN Box Truck Accident on Brookville

Indianapolis, IN -- December 21, 2016, a teenage girl was injured following an accident in which her vehicle and a box truck collided on Brookville Road.

Indianapolis emergency personnel rushed to the accident scene at about 7:00 a.m. It occurred at the intersection of Brookville Road and Post Road.

According to preliminary reports, a 17-year-old girl was driving a car down the road when she entered the intersection. For reasons not exactly clear, her car and a box truck crossed paths with each other. As a result, the box truck crashed into the side of the car.

EMS came to the scene to render aid, finding the teenager in critical condition. They rushed her to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her current condition is unknown.

Reports say the truck driver was not injured, but he was taken for a blood draw. Authorities have not indicated that alcohol or drugs were involved.

Additional details are pending further investigation.
