Larry Norven Injured in Hardin County, TX, Accident

Hardin County, TX -- January 10, 2017, Larry Norven was injured due to an accident where his vehicle was rear-ended on the highway.

Hardin County Officials were called out to the accident scene at about 4:00 p.m. near the intersection of US 69 and Cooks Lake Road.

According to preliminary investigations, an initial accident occurred on the highway that caused traffic to come to a slow-down. 64-year-old Norven was driving an Acura when he came to a line of traffic and slowed down.

As he was waiting, a Ford Expedition failed to control its speed and crashed into the back of a Ford pickup that was behind Norven's vehicle. The momentum of the collision carried forward into Norven's Acura as well.

As a result of the collision, Norven sustained injuries that were said to be non-life-threatening. EMS took him via ambulance to Victory Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities said no additional injuries occurred in either accident. Their investigations are currently ongoing.
