Jeffrey Connelly Killed in Truck Accident in Marion, NC

Marion, NC -- A collision between a moped and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of Jeffrey Connelly Thursday, December 29, 2016.

The incident reportedly happened around noon in the area of North Main Street. It is unclear exactly what occurred, but at some point a moped and a semi-truck were involved in a head-on collision. Mr. Connelly, the operator of the moped, was killed at the scene. Timothy Webb, the driver of the tractor-trailer, was uninjured in the incident. Police were uncertain why the two vehicles collided.

The investigation into the deadly incident is currently underway.
