Nathan Thomas Ohler Killed, Derrick Keefer Hurt in Accident in Middlecreek Twp., PA

Middlecreek Township, PA -- A single-vehicle crash in the area of Middlecreek Township, PA claimed the life of Nathan Thomas Ohler and left Derrick Keefer injured Wednesday, January 11, 2017.

Sources say a pickup truck containing the two victims was eastbound on Route 653 about 12:42 a.m. when it veered off the roadway. The vehicle then rolled down an embankment, crashing into a group of trees. Mr. Ohler, 28, was killed at the scene of the incident. The driver of the pickup, 27-year-old Derrick Keefer, was taken to a nearby hospital and was last listed in stable condition.

The cause of the incident had yet to be determined by authorities.

The official investigation is currently underway.

The preliminary media report provided no further information at the time of its release.
