George Sanborn Killed in Truck Accident on Route 125 in Andover, MA

Andover, MA -- A collision between a passenger car and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of 75-year-old George Sanborn in the area of Andover, MA Tuesday, January 10, 2017.

The incident took place at Route 125 about 5 p.m., according to the report.

It appears the two vehicles collided at a traffic light, causing the victim's passenger vehicle to go up in flames. The lone occupant of the passenger vehicle, Mr. Sanborn, was reportedly killed at the scene of the incident. The 42-year-old driver of the semi-truck was unhurt in the collision.

A large portion of Route 125 was closed for several hours following the deadly incident.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
