Woman Dies in Accidental House Fire on Fern Avenue in McAllen, TX

McAllen, TX -- A deceased victim has yet to be identified in a house fire incident on Fern Avenue in McAllen, TX Tuesday, January 10, 2017.

Officials say they responded to calls of a house fire about 12:45 p.m. Upon arrival, emergency crews found a deceased woman within the home. The details of the incident are unclear, but the report claims witnesses heard a series of bangs, accompanied by loud screams. Representatives with the McAllen Fire Department had yet to determine the cause of the deadly incident.

Authorities are currently looking over the details of the incident.

Due to the immediacy of the fatal fire, the details provided by the early reports are sparse.

The victim's identity has not been revealed.

The results of a public database search shows the incident occurred in the 1550 block of West Fern Avenue.
