Woman Injured in Dallas, TX, Hit-and-run Accident on Garland Rd

Dallas, TX -- January 9, 2017, a woman was injured as the result of an accident in which she was struck by a car on Garland Road which fled the scene.

Dallas Police officials say that the 18-year-old woman was walking along North Garland Road near the intersection of Peavy Road. The incident occurred in the morning hours.

As she walked along the roadway, a silver GMC failed to see her in time and crashed into her. She was thrown to the road where she sustained non-critical injuries. The driver then fled the scene.

The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment. Authorities say they are still searching for the suspect driver involved in the incident. Their investigations are ongoing.
