Woman Injured in Round Rock, TX, Hit-and-run Accident at Walmart

Round Rock, TX -- December 17, 2016, a woman sustained injuries in , after an accident in which a vehicle hit her in a Walmart parking lot and fled the scene.

Round Rock Police released details about an accident that remains under investigation. They say it occurred in the parking lot of the Walmart located just off the I-35 and TX-45 interchange.

Police reports indicate that a woman was walking through the parking lot when a light-colored sedan somehow failed to notice her in time. The vehicle struck the woman, hitting her to the ground and injuring her. The unidentified sedan then fled the scene of the accident.

The woman was left on the ground, waiting for emergency services. They arrived and transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her exact condition was not specified.

The suspect vehicle had temporary plates when the accident occurred. Round Rock Police continue to search for the suspect.

No further information has been released.
