Jodi Ann Lanqlinais Killed in Montgomery County, TX, Accident

Montgomery County, TX -- December 26, 2016, Jodi Ann Lanqlinais was killed following an accident where a vehicle hit her and fled the scene.

According to reports released by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department, the accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of FM 1485 and Gene Campbell Road.

Their preliminary reports indicate that 44-year-old Lanqlinais was walking in the area of the roadway. It was not specified if she was crossing or walking along the road. As she did so, an eastbound vehicle struck her in the road, critically injuring her. That vehicle fled the scene, and shortly afterward, another eastbound vehicle hit her again.

Lanqlinais was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The first driver has not yet been located. Police did not offer a description of the vehicle. The second vehicle remained at the scene and assisted investigators. That driver does not face charges.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
