Mark Castilleja Killed in Troy, TX, Single-Vehicle Accident

Troy, TX -- January 6, 2017, Mark Castilleja sustained fatal injuries following an accident in which his vehicle lost control and crashed off-road.

According to officials from the Troy Police Department, the accident occurred in the evening near the intersection of Pleasant View Road and the I-35 service road.

Preliminary investigations indicate that 37-year-old Castilleja was traveling southbound on the service road in a GMC pickup. For reasons yet to be determined, the vehicle lost control and ran off the roadway. As a result, the pickup rolled over several times, ejected Castilleja from the cab.

EMS found the vehicle off the side of the road, and Castilleja had succumbed to his injuries. No other injuries occurred.

Authorities have not said what factors contributed to the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
