14-Year-Old Girl Killed, Three Others Hurt in Accident on I-96 in Alaiedon Twp., MI

Alaiedon Township, MI -- A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl and left her father, mother and 11-year-old sister with injuries Saturday, January 7, 2017.

It appears the incident took place on I-96 in the area of Hagadorn Rd. about 6:30 p.m.

The vehicle containing the family was headed east when it left the roadway, flipping over and colliding with a tree. The deceased girl's mother, father and sister were all transported to a nearby hospital. The mother was last listed in critical condition. The father and sister sustained minor injuries.

The official investigation is currently underway and authorities hope to learn more as it concludes.
