4 Hurt, Devonte Frank Charged in Matagorda Beach, TX, Accident

Matagorda Beach, TX -- January 1, 2017, Devonte Frank was arrested following an accident that left four pedestrians injured.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred along FM 2031. 23-year-old Frank was driving a Toyota Tundra southbound on the roadway. He reportedly disregarded a sign which indicated that the road ended in 500 feet at a parking lot.

As a result, the pickup slammed into two parked vehicles that were next to a group of pedestrians. Three of these pedestrians suffered critical injuries. Once EMS arrived, they were taken to Memorial Hermann via helicopter. Another pedestrian went to Matagorda Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities placed Frank under arrest, and he currently faces a charge of reckless driving.
