4 Injured in Lubbock, TX, Pickup Accident at 19th and Utica

Lubbock, TX -- January 6, 2017, four people sustained injuries due to an accident where two pickups crashed at 19th Street and Utica Avenue.

Emergency response crews and Lubbock Police officials responded to the two-vehicle accident just after midnight.

When they arrived on the scene, they found that two pickups had crashed into each other. Currently, specific details on how the collision occurred are unclear. Authorities did not say if one of the vehicles failed to yield, and not citations or charges have been reported.

Following the collision, four people suffered serious but non-critical injuries. All were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. It's unclear from which vehicles the injured came.

Authorities say the crash remains under investigation.
