Two Killed in Clark Co., AR Plane Accident

Clark County, AR -- A plane crash in the area of Clark County, AR claimed the lives of two unidentified people east of Gurdon Thursday, January 5, 2017.

The details of the incident are unclear, but officials say the plane was reported missing some time Thursday afternoon. According to representatives with the FAA, the pilot had signaled the plane was suffering from engine trouble. As the plane was descending, the signal became lost. Officials say the plane was en route to Franklin, NC from Dallas, TX when the incident occurred.

Due to the immediacy of the crash, the report had yet to disclose the identities of the victims.

The official investigation into the deadly crash is underway.

The preliminary press release provided no further information at the time of its release.
