Linden, NJ: One Killed, One Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Accident on the New Jersey Turnpike

Linden, NJ -- A multi-vehicle crash claimed the life of one unidentified person on the New Jersey Turnpike in Linden, NJ Thursday, January 5, 2017.

Sources say two passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer collided in the area of Interchange 13 about 8:30 p.m.

The details of the crash are unclear, but police say the incident left one person dead and one injured. The injured victim was reportedly transported to University Hospital in Newark and was last listed in critical condition. The deadly collision left a portion of the highway closed for several hours.

The identities of the victims had yet to be determined at the time of the report.

Authorities are currently examining the details of the crash and hope to learn more as the investigation concludes.
