Man Killed in Houston, TX, Hit-and-run Accident on Gulf Fwy

Houston, TX -- January 4, 2016, a man was found dead along the side of Gulf Freeway following an accident where he was hit by a vehicle the fled the scene.

According to reports released by the Houston Police Department, the incident occurred sometime in the morning on Gulf Freeway in the 3500 block.

Reports indicate that a passerby on the highway noticed the victim's body lying in the grassy median of the roadway. That person called emergency services and they rushed to the scene. The man had succumbed to his injuries, and EMS officials pronounced him dead at the scene.

Authorities determined that the man had somehow been struck by a vehicle, causing the deadly injuries. At this time, no suspect vehicle has been reported.

Investigations are currently ongoing.
