Man Injured in Ingram, TX, Pedestrian Accident on Junction Hwy

Ingram, TX -- December 30, 2016, a man was injured due to an accident in which he was struck by a vehicle on Junction Highway.

Ingram Police investigators reported on the accident. They say it took place around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Junction Highway and Turner Road.

According to early reports, the 19-year-old man was walking along the side of the highway at the time. For reasons that have yet to be determined, a vehicle was unable to see the pedestrian in time and struck him in the roadway.

The teenager had serious injuries as he waited for emergency services to arrive. They came to the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital. His injuries were serious, but he is stable.

Authorities did not say if any charges or citations were given following the accident. They say the incident remains under investigation at this time.
